WO 07 Final Reflection
This semester has been full of knowledge on the true meaning
of entrepreneurship. Before taking this class my understanding of
entrepreneurship was something like money hungry people who value success in
life only about accumulating wealth. Thankfully my knowledge has deepened, as I
now understand entrepreneurship is more then pridefully building an empire.
If I were to give one final lecture about entrepreneurship
it is to approach it as a way to be beneficial to all humankind. Finding a niche
that provides people an avenue to have a better life is a great thing that we
can all experience if we put our mind to it. There's nothing wrong with money
in inherently in itself, as long as you use that money for good and not for
evil. For instance, when you have one you are required to give a liberally. As
disciples of Christ, we have agreed to take the name of Christ upon us and part
of that is providing for the sick needy and inflicted. People who live in
poverty have less opportunity to help others then ones who are financially
responsible. Commit now to move a life of service.
As a last bit of advice to help someone wanting to begin
their entrepreneur journey: please do not worry about finances in the beginning
as an obstacle. Through faith and hard work the financial avenues will open for
you to be a successful entrepreneur. You have the power to create something
big. One word of caution about starting your entrepreneur journey. Be humble be
faithful and Heavenly Father will direct you. You can make change happen in the
world around you if you are willing to change yourself.
In closing remember good things come to those who wait. Persistence
is the single most important factor with being successful. Most historical
leaders are known for this quality. President Uchtdorf once said “Patience is actively
working toward worthwhile goals and not getting discouraged when results don’t
appear instantly or without effort.” I use this quote as my motto as I work to
become an entrepreneur.
